I just heard a great story from Keith Otto (PFN: Incentive Trips: Freedom Tour 15:53). He said that in Berlin there are deer that would go up to where the wall used to be and they would turn around and walk away, even though on the other side is lush green grass. God designed us for success but we have been programmed for failure.
It’s time to reprogram with the right message.
I also read a great story in Napolean Hill’s book “Think and Grow Rich” pg 76. A gentleman named Gunsaulus had a vision of starting a school that focused on practical application and improving people’s quality of life. After a long time it finally became an obsession for him. What prevented him from realizing his dream was a million dollars. One morning he woke up and decided that he was going to get the million dollars in the next week (He was a preacher). He wrote a sermon called “If I had a million dollars.” After delivering the message, he sat down to relax and a man 3 rows back got up and walked towards him. The man said “Meet me in my office tomorrow. I believe in you and I can help.” The man gave Gunsaulus his million dollars and he was able to start an institution that became Illinoise Institute of technology.
Wow the power of putting a date on your goals and believing that some how some way it is going to happen. I loved this story.
